Emergency Response Procedures

Severe weather or other environmental threats:

  • Shelter in place at HAK School, Complex, Curling Rink or Seniors Drop-In Centre
  • If asked to lock down, shelter in place and lock all persons indoors until lock down is over.
  • For fire or other building emergencies, muster outside the building at the muster points. See map below

St. Paul Search and Rescue Services (SAR)

Saturday 9am to 5pm

  • Teams of 2 across the event active areas
  • Members would be dressed in SAR orange gear to be highly visible and to be monitoring activities and activating first aid or other services as needed. 
  • SAR Radios – Juanita Cozicar will touch base with Armand Boucher Sat a.m. to determine if radios are compatible to SL Fire Dept radios.

  • SAR has been provided with an event map which can be used to provide visitor assistance – there is also an interactive map available online. Bring it up on your phone to give directions.

  • The town is completely walkable – 5 to 10 minutes between each area of action.
  • Car Registration is at the Town office
  • Schedule has all the times and locations for all the activities – refer to that
  • SAR will be roving and can provide support to anyone looking for first aid, has a lost child, or other issues. They will engage with the contract ambulance if needed, and then 911 will activate emergency response for the event.
  • Wristbands must be worn to ride the bus.
  • Pumpkin drop is at 5:30 – show them where this is on map! Number 1 question we get asked.
